BBC Discover

The COVID-19 pandemic shook educational institutions to their core and shone a spotlight on the role the BBC can play in supporting children, parents and teachers through its educational content. In response to this, the BBC is looking to develop a service that goes beyond Bitesize. BBC Discover is a new educational service that curates and presents 100 years of educational text, video and audio content from the BBC in a way that is concise, engaging and tailored to children. Alongside this, it introduces new forms of media such as interactive games and AR experiences. Integral to the new service are Discover Codes. Offering a fun and engaging way for children to discover educational content across television, the web, and for the first time ever – the material world.
