Witness to a Century

Witness to a Century turns 100 years of Leica photography into an interactive time-travel journey through world history and social change. The digital exhibition marks the centenary of the Leica I, which made 35mm photography practical and enabled spontaneous capture of life as it happens. Placing the audience in the role of witness, the self-paced journey unfolds across eight eras with 1,800+ curated photographs, 280+ stories and rare archive material – choreographed through image-led design, sound, motion and scroll pacing – turning an anniversary moment into an experience built to last.
