We Exist
We Exist
We Exist follows a young person's struggle with gender identity. Inspired by the track's narrative, which tells the story of an LGBTQ individual coming out to their straight father, David Wilson crafted a compelling piece that operates around the ideas of identity and belonging, while questioning gender roles and assumptions. The film follows a person struggling to feel comfortable within themselves in an environment that reacts violently against people that refuse to conform to their preconditioned ideas of gender. Our character is led to the safety of the LGBTQ community via an escapist set piece choreographed by Ryan Heffington and wonderfully realised by Andrew Garfield.
