Vibraception / A Search for the Layout of/for Vibration

For the book, Jan St. Werner invited contributors—musicians, researchers, artists—to write on vibration from multiple perspectives. Design Solution: I treated the publication as one resonant field. A rule-based typographic system activates micro-deformations, repetition and silence only where key concepts appear. The typographic system turns key terms into signals: the layout performs the content rather than illustrating it. This led to the inclusion of a dedicated design essay, in which the typographic system is articulated as part of the project’s artistic research.
