Renault partnered with the United Nations to launch UNpatent, a global platform making its EV safety innovations available to all manufacturers. Introduced at the UN Road Safety Conference, it promotes collaboration in a highly competitive industry. Renault began by sharing “Fireman Access,” instantly usable by any brand. Unlike Tesla’s Patent Pledge, UNpatent has no legal constraints—manufacturers can adopt innovations without giving up their own IP. A step closer to making road safety a universal right.
