The Human Walking Program
The Human Walking Program
Developed by GPY&R Melbourne as an adoption campaign for Australia's largest animal shelter the Lost Dogs Home, the Human Walking Program capitalised on a shared experience between humans and dogs. Too often, we're cooped up, don't see enough daylight, and just need a good walk. The campaign encouraged office workers to get out and get to know a dog up for adoption at the Lost Dogs Home. What started as a local campaign quickly grew to become a global movement. GPY&R enabled shelters around the world to use the idea and provided online resources to help. To date, over 80 similar programmes have taken place worldwide.
