The History of the Mausoleum of Augustus

One of the most significant monuments in Rome is the Mausoleum of Augustus, built over 2,000 years ago. For the last 80 years t has been abandoned. Fondazione TIM's virtual restoration of this national treasure saw a website provide an interactive journey in 12 chapters. Each age is represented by a symbol. At the end of each chapter, each symbol breaks into thousands of pieces and creates a new figure, representing the subsequent age.
