The Butcher The Baker
The Butcher The Baker
When third-generation Dundee artisan baker joined forces with a family-owned butcher, they required an identity to bring together the two establishments. The traditional rhyme: ‘The Butcher, The Baker, The Candlestick Maker’, provided inspiration and the shop was named: The Butcher The Baker. The logo takes the shape of a candlestick but on closer inspection, contains inverted silhouettes of the butcher and the baker. The copy remains true to the rhythmic lilt of ‘Rub-a-dub-dub’ but the third line playfully conveys messages, for example, ‘the butcher, the baker, the friendly ice-breaker’.
