Sunpika Tokyo
Sunpika Tokyo
SUNPIKA’s spatial design began with the idea of pulling a futon onto a Noh – a traditional Japanese theatre stage – for sleeping. Specifically, SUNPIKA is inspired by Dream Noh (later named Mugen Noh), a type of Noh performance that takes place in a dreamscape. The ‘stage’ in SUNPIKA’s room is based on the journey created in Dream Noh. By turning a Noh stage into a sleeping area, the space allows guests to rest and recuperate as they experience a bygone age.
