After a three-year wait for the final season of Stranger Things, fans had forgotten the story. To refresh their memories, Netflix didn't release a digital video. We created an 80s artifact: The Stranger Things Recap Cassette. We condensed 2,111 minutes into a 90-minute immersive audio drama, pressed onto physical tapes featuring bespoke sound design and reversible 'Upside Down' artwork. Hidden in retro stores worldwide, fans hunted for these limited collectibles. The analog activation went viral, generating 178,000 organic engagements and $22.3M in earned PR.
