STONE MILK

STONE MILK

CULTURAL CONTEXT: “Getting milk out of a stone” is a Brazilian expression similar to “getting blood out of a stone”, meaning getting a great outcome from adverses situation. A situation everyone who works with creativity is familiar with. The films were designed to tell great stories with minimal resources. With only a simple, b&w animation and a labored audio production, we showed an implosion of a building, a comet hitting the Earth and a medieval battle, showing nothing more than black cubes. An implosion, a comet hitting the Earth, a medieval battle shown with only black cubes and audio.
