Shakespeare's Globe: The Old and New Collide

The identity is an experimental combination of authenticity and modern ideas. It captures the energy of a Globe performance, and lets it loose across everything it does. The last piece of oak from the theatre’s construction became a printing block in the 20-sided shape of the theatre. The resulting symbol is centre stage within a flexible system. The palette is inspired by historic colour-coded theatre flags. This poster series showcases the identity for 2018's events and plays.
