Sapeurs

As part of its Made of More campaign, Guinness seeks to celebrate people with integrity and character. This film documents the story of the Society of Elegant Persons, a social movement centred in Brazzaville, the capital of the Republic of the Congo. Sapeurs are blue-collar workers who, in colourful contrast to their surroundings, transform themselves into debonair gentlemen, dancing and strutting in celebration of style and elegance. The extraordinary men embody Guinness' ethos, showing that we're all masters of our own fate.
