Rain

The artist placed office scanners outdoors, their lamps switched off, making the sensors receptive to the changing natural light. Eventually, the scanners began to paint with the rain, offering an alternative way to capture the world. What decides which images shape our reality? Are we still free to see what we want in the world? Can alternative images help us resist and liberate our gaze? The design takes inspiration from the motion of a scanner, creating a continuous flow of images. On the inside of the Japanese folded pages, the source code is printed, appearing like abstract poetry.
