On the website of Japan’s Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT), we created a place where digitally native children, our future generation, can deepen their understanding of information technology. It was to be the first point of contact for finding new ways to use technology creatively and to learn actively, instead of merely using it passively. We created an environment where children can develop and operate a program intuitively, by using a simple GUI based programming language. Although it was promotional content, it is being used as educational material in homes and classrooms.
