WASHI is a color font designed to capture the human spirit of resistance with an aesthetic that feels instinctively hand made, disruptive, and empowering. A voice of positive protest for marginalized communities, the color palettes make messaging a carnival rather than a riot, and give an optimistic voice to text. It celebrates a sense of unity with an undeniable attitude. 8 color palettes are made with up to 4 colors on as many as 9 layers per glyph. The font features OpenType code that substitutes up to 4 alternates of each character to prevent visual repetition of forms.
