In this unique notebook machine-work meets handcraft. Its interior pages are made of environmentally friendly paper, mechanically bound in the Swiss way – which is firm yet allows the book to open freely. The edge is decorated using the ancient technique of paper marbling. This technique originated in 9th century Japan where the mesmerising patterns of floating ink were transferred onto paper. In an attempt to keep this tradition alive, these notebooks were decorated using only handcrafted paint with natural pigments. This technique gives each book its touch of uniqueness.
