Narcotics Anonymous is an international non-profit organisation aimed at people who have experienced issues with drugs. The main reason why people don’t attend NA meetings is due to the feeling of shame – the shame of being recognised and seen as an addict. To address this issue, Havas Play worked with Les Narcotiques Anonymes to designed a pilot project: NAVerse, the first NA meeting in the metaverse. It is a space to share, listen, and support each other but with full anonymity thanks to the virtual avatars.
