Memex

Narratively, the video for Duologue's cerebral track Memex is a 3D study of mortality which sees an elderly woman return to dust. But, functionally, the project is the beginning of a deeper study into VR filmmaking, and explores new photographic processes. A 94-camera scanning rig was used to create a full body scan of the model Beryl, which was combined with a spherical panoramic HDR photo of a sunset, enabling curious lighting effects and textures to be achieved.
