Masha Sviatahor - Everybody Dance!

Masha Sviatahor's book explores the intersection of political critique and historical memory through her use of analogue collage and photo montage, drawing on Soviet archival imagery to create layered, often surreal narratives referring to contemporary agenda: authoritarianism, political gerontocracy, repressions, and war. The book represents both creative development of the artist and the collage-making process, starting from the section with raw materials and cutouts exposed. Each copy is personalized by the artist by placing stickers in an unrepeatable way in the cover's debossed spot.
