Tom Gauld was commissioned by Guardian Creative to produce a set of four illustrations promoting guardian.co.uk/jobs. The idea of the 'jobs machine' had already been established in a campaign illustrated by Tom the previous year, but this campaign focused on four particular services that the site provides. Each of the executions highlighted one of these services and worked as a stand-alone ad. However, all four images also worked together to form one larger landscape image – and they appeared this way in a four-page cover-wrap of the SocietyGuardian supplement.
