Kiss Kiss Bang Bang
Kiss Kiss Bang Bang
Using crime novels from the 60s as a central theme, the main title sequence for the murder mystery film was developed using graphic solutions that were stylistically similar to titles that Saul Bass developed in that era. The narrative was kept organic by using certain metaphors from the story that would direct it but not give away the plot. At times the sequence nods to scenes within the film, and at other times it plays out abstract, interweaving representations of the characters combined with parts of urban LA and the Hollywood Hills where the story takes place.
