IIS

IIS, The Internet Foundation in Sweden (in Swedish “Internetstiftelsen i Sverige”) is responsible for administrating the Swedish top-level domain, .se. A decision was made to change the previous corporate brand from “.SE” to “IIS”, and the task was to create a new logotype. The name IIS was a given parameter, and the logotype would have to be distinctively Swedish. Through a simple solution the Swedish flag was incorporated in the design, creating the double letters “i” in the name. The Foundation’s role as home of the national top-level domain “.se” is clearly communicated in this new design.
