To create anticipation & hype around new Channel 4 Drama ‘Humans’, we launched ‘Persona Synthetics’, the company featured in the show, as a real brand, promoting “Synths” as genuine products for sale. Microsoft Kinect enabled interaction with our 3D Synths in our Regent Street store front, publicized using press ads. Synths were ‘sold’ on eBay; marketed using display advertising and organic search in the first eBay-permitted fictional auction. Social accounts were updated daily and everything was presented without any C4 branding, all pushing to the reveal on the company’s website.
