The love of this catchy track came from the surprising lyrics: "I get a little bit Genghis Khan"...Not every day a man responsible for the murder of hundreds of thousands of people is used as a cute metaphor in a love song! This lead to the idea of evil people falling in love. For this to work, the look and style had to feel totally authentic so the film was shot on 35mm. What was most enjoyable was getting deep into the attention to detail on every aspect of production, right down to the embroidery on the villain’s clothes, so it looked completely convincing as a long lost classic movie.
