Fäviken

Fäviken Magasinet restaurant is located in a remote area of Sweden and only serves food that can be sourced locally. The biggest challenge was to convey the restaurant’s individual location and identity. This was achieved by drawing inspiration from Swedish folk art: the red house in the landscape on the cover is a stylised interpretation of the restaurant, but also captures the essence of Sweden and evokes a sense of how remote Fäviken is. The typefaces in the book are all Swedish too, which subtly reflect the restaurant’s strict policy of sourcing home-grown materials.
