FLUGT Refugee Museum of Denmark
FLUGT Refugee Museum of Denmark
Refugee museum FLUGT, which is located at the site of Denmark’s largest refugee camp during World War II, captures the universal challenges and stories of refugees worldwide, and puts a face to historical information and abstract numbers. The stories are brought to life with visuals, soundscapes, animations, interviews, and original footage. The immersive design uses audio as the backbone of the experience. Outside, there is a striking model of the former camp made from concrete and Corten Steel. During an immersive audio walk through the forest, visitors can experience history through the eyes of former camp refugees.
