Empathy Calendars

Every one of us has to measure time. So, why couldn’t we do it like prisoners? That was the idea of Empathy Calendars: prison time brought into the world of the free. These calendars are not typical lists of 12 months; they match the terms of prisoners’ sentences, even those with no definite period of time set. The calendars we created included the 100 m long mural calendar, ‘piece of wall’ calendars, and facebook wall calendars. Even the President of Poland has been counting his ‘prison time’, marking off each day. Week by week. Month by month. More than all year long.
