Eden – Projector

Eden – Projector

The contradiction in the track Projector immediately resonated with the directors: the soundscape is bright, airy and dreamlike but lyrically there's a loneliness and pessimism which slowly seeps. It was that tension that moved the directors towards the work of mid-century painters like John Register and Edward Hopper, who created images which are extremely bright and colourful but also sad and evocative. That was the genesis of the idea - trapping Eden inside a vividly saturated and beautiful prison, and watching him try to escape to the outside world.
