Branding and packaging design for dou dou, a neighbourhood bakery café in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. Operated by a small, close-knit team, the independent bakery embraces the essence of a privately owned shop. The owner’s personality—down-to-earth and craft-driven—comes through in the many details of the space and its products. The identity is characterised by oval forms inspired by the shapes of dough, paired with a custom hand-lettered typeface which also forms the logo.. Free from rigid alignment or straight lines, the organic graphics reflect the bakery’s honest, easygoing spirit.
