Deaf Radio

Tommy Motswai, who was born deaf, is a Standard Bank winner for his contribution to the arts and his passion to educate. The only language he’s ever spoken is South African Sign Language. As part of Standard Bank’s relaunch campaign, M&C Saatchi Abel wanted to tell Tommy’s story using gloves that can translate sign language into spoken words. Now Tommy can share his story and talk to the world about his challenges and passions for the very first time. This is Tommy’s dream, and Standard Bank’s mission is to find new ways to make dreams possible.
