Cry

The aim of the trail was to dramatise the emotional power of listening to BBC stations on digital radio. A man at his kitchen table listens to Velvet Underground’s ‘Pale Blue Eyes’. The music evokes memories and he cries. We show the exact same scene again. The only difference is the BBC station that’s playing. It’s now live commentary of a football play-off final. The man’s team are promoted. His actions take on a completely different meaning. When tears roll down his face, they’re now tears of joy.
