Capturing Nature
Capturing Nature
The Zucker Collection is the most extensive collection of nature prints ever assembled, with works from 1733-1902 covering more than 45 different printing techniques. The book is structured as a journey through the history of nature printing, starting with close-ups of the different printing methods in chronological order. After that, it zooms out to reveal various topics, with an overview of the collection in the centre of the book. The illustrated list is accompanied by the descriptions of all techniques, which are printed in silver and white on green paper and work as a visual index.
