Burger King Cow's Menu

Methane released from cows’ burps and farts contributes to greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. In fact, cows produce more climate change-related emissions than cars, buses, trains, boats and planes combined. After two and a half years working with scientists, Burger King Global developed a lemongrass formula that improves the digestion of the cows, reducing methane emissions up to 33% by adding 100 grams of lemongrass to the cows’ feed. The Cows’ Menu formula was made open source to encourage worldwide adoption.
