Alan Carr Chatty Man: Kitchen / Lounge / Garden / Interview / Calvin Klein

We needed a simple, effective device to showcase Alan Carr’s distinct style in order to set the show Alan Carr Chatty Man apart from others. We had limited access to our star and no access to any of the people he was going to interview, so we imagined that Alan had been chatty all his life, even as a very young child, rabbiting away about anything and everything. The line ‘Born Chatty’ emerged. Alan had to look like a baby but still look like Alan. While the production was fairly involved, the end result feels simple and low-tech, as if it was produced by Alan’s mum using an old camcorder.
