In October 2021, NRMA Insurance released A Fire Inside, a significant project including a feature length documentary and a book. The project was designed to spur a national movement in partnership with the Minderoo Foundation and mobilise Australia’s largest contingent of volunteers to prepare and protect Australia from future disasters.

A Fire Inside is far more than a compelling documentary or photobook on Australia’s bush fires – it became a national movement to mobilise volunteers to prepare and protect the country from future natural disasters. The book stared a national conversation and moved people to join the call. It demonstrates the meaning and value of being a photographer.
