Dr Iain Macdonald is Associate Dean, Design School at London College of Communication, UAL. He was previously Associate Professor, Head of Design • Photography • Advertising and Programme Leader of MSc Creative Advertising at Edinburgh Napier University.
Iain has over 20 years of creative industry experience as a BAFTA nominated television graphic designer at BBC Television, and as a film director in commercials and films at The Moving Picture Company and then Mendoza Films. He is a member of the Chartered Society of Designers, a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. Since 2010 Iain has sat on the Curriculum Board of the National Society for Art & Design Education (NSEAD). He is external examiner for the BA (Hons) Advertising & Design at University of South Wales.
