I am an award winning creative director enthused by bringing ideas to people. I've worked across a large variety of industries from technology to automotive, fashion, luxury goods, music and restaurants. Essentially anything interests me if there is the potential to side step the formulaic, challenge accepted norms and develop refreshingly engaging head spaces for humans to inhabit.
I work as a sole trader and also with with my wife and my sister-in-law under the name of Studio Bergfors. Studio Bergfors produces top level fashion and lifestyle and branding projects. I also hold a role with Intro as a creative partner who I have been working with for approaching 30 years.
My heritage lies within the music industry, producing memorable campaigns across all touch points for bands such as The Prodigy, Depeche Mode, INXS, Robbie Williams and Roni Size, among others. I owned a record label, managed musicians, even played in a few bands.
Today, my work is focused on premium brands and fashion, clients including Bowers & Wilkins, Maserati, Huawei, Converse. I thrive on 360 conceptual campaigns, as I believe that the only engaging way to tell a story is to create an in-depth conceptual world for the subject of focus and to inhabit and to allow the intended recipient to explore and discover with being prescriptively preached too. That said I've just produced a complete box set single series for Depeche Mode so music work hasn’t entirely vanished.
I'm constantly inspired by developing technologies, but have never forgotten the value of craft. To that end I'm agnostic about process, anything from any era when assembled thoughtfully can create the best result for a concept. Pencils still live in my drawer, VHS, cathode rays all end up somewhere in my laptops storage.
