D&AD Legends of Design: Tom Geismar
Celebrating the work of Tom Geismar — a legend of design.
The Talk
The Legends of Design is a series hosted by Michael Johnson of Johnson Banks which dedicates evenings to the life, work and thoughts of landmark figures in design. This March we've moved to NYC to interview the legendary Tom Geismar.
A founding partner of the celebrated design firm Chermayeff & Geismar & Haviv, Tom has spent more than six decades shaping the field of corporate identity. His work includes some of the most enduring symbols in modern design, from the NBC peacock and National Geographic’s yellow frame to identities for Chase Bank, Mobil and the Smithsonian Institution.
