Just like accents, a stammer is simply the way some people talk. Despite this, people who stammer regularly face comments simply because of the way they speak. From jokes about poor internet connections or forgetting their name, to accusations of being drunk, people who stammer often deal with ignorance. Because of this, people who stammer have fewer people in the public eye to look up to, and even fewer opportunities to share their experiences. It’s How We Talk addresses issues people who stammer face on a daily basis, giving them a platform to see themselves reflected in the media.
