state51 WAVE box

The WAVE box is a beautiful and innovative piece of music product and packaging. The challenge was to use traditional craft skills to create something which complemented and deepened the experience of the music contained within it. The box’s interior features the ingenious use of ball bearings of different gauges and a corrugated lining in such a way that, when lifted, the box makes the sound of crashing waves. The holder is instantly transported to the desolate, cold water surfing spots of the music soundtracks.
