PONGO – UWA

Pongo celebrates contemporary African culture in this vibrant vision for Uwa. Already an in-demand photographer, this is the director's debut music video project, which sees Pongo return to the continent for the first time since she fled Angola with her parents during the civil war. The video charges full-speed ahead, switching from frenetic choreography on the street to calm and deliberate movement in the river, radiating an almost meditative energy. This is a celebration of overcoming adversity and living life to the fullest.
