The Blind See More

Every year, 60,000 women develop breast cancer. Discovering hands closes a crucial gap in the spectrum of breast cancer screening with its tactile examination of the breast. The method: Specially trained blind women examine patients according to a scientifically grounded procedure. The design: The revolutionary idea of discovering hands is the combination of the extraordinary tactile abilities of blind women with the competence of seeing physicians. We show this mutual complementation through the typographic interplay of Braille and the typeface of "seeing" people.
