The Olympics Digital Portfolio project aimed to create a family of products and services across a wide range of platforms and devices. A connected and consistent experience was essential. Our ambition was to show every session of the London 2012 Olympic Games on every device spanning TV, radio, computer, mobile and tablets. We built on the foundation of the recently redesigned BBC Sport website, using the new page layouts and design language to push our coverage to new heights. The Digital Portfolio offered 24 live HD streams on TV, web and via our app, ensuring the entire nation would never have to miss a moment.
