When I was thinking about how these story archetypes are happening around us all the time, it occurred to me that at least some of them happen figuratively within the field of medicine, at a biological level. I decided I wanted to illustrate some of these stories using a style reminiscent of vintage medical illustrations, and I hope I’ve left room for the viewer to interpret how these stories are also occur to the implied human beings.
