Restore the Night
Restore The Night is a Google and Typographic Circle campaign that makes people aware of the impacts light pollution has on the planet, to connect people with the true beauty of the night sky through involvement and sharing, and to get more people involved in poetry. Aimed at the younger demographic, the campaign focuses on visibility and the stars in the night sky, and light communication. The campaign utilises contrast to capture the severity of artificial light in cities compared to rural areas to emphasise how the beauty of the sky is hidden away in urban life, using typoetry. This is executed through booklet form, animation, social media, posters, glow in the dark paint and clothing, all of which is to inspire, reflect and restore peoples hope for the future
