Real Second Life

We welcome a new target to Depop, inviting an older generation to share and save their clothing, turning fashion into legacy. According to a UK study, an estimated amount of 336,000 tonnes of used clothing end up in landfills annually. As people pass on, die or move to nursing homes, their wardrobes are left in silence. We engage the elderly residents of nursing homes, gathering the stories behind the clothes they are ready to part with. These stories are shared on dedicated tags, and sent to buyers along with the item. Each tag will showcase the item's unique life, before finding its new owner.
