Out West

As I long-time user of Audible, I was really excited to work on this brief. I chose "Out West" because of my love for crime shows, but also because I found this option especially challenging. There has been a lot of work done in relation to the Western genre, so, how can I make this podcast stand out? After analysing the synopsis and conducting my initial research, I concluded that the podcast's unique selling point is its focus on real crimes, rather than legends. As a solution, I created a campaign that brings together the most recognisable artefacts and clichés of the Western film genre with a clinical visual language normally associated with forensic science. The evidence bags will be the focal point—containing iconic and recognisable objects that are the real crimes of the Wild West.
