Illicit Font
Illicit Font
Colombia produces 90% of the world’s cocaine. In 2024, coca crops reached 253,000 hectares, fueling a war that has lasted over six decades and leaving deep scars on the land and its people. While the world keeps consuming, the conflict grows, invisible to most. That’s why Illicit Font was created—the first typeface designed from real coca crop patterns. Available on an interactive platform, it allows people to explore, download, and see how each letter reflects the impact of coca on Colombia’s history. The font will change as the crops grow or shrink, revealing the true scale of this hidden war.
