Discovering the Aesthetic of Tradition

The basic concept of this project is about preserving one of the precious intangible cultural heritages called the “Zmijanje embroidery”. Zmijanje embroidery incorporates respect for diversity, creativity and non-verbal communication. Respecting the tradition is a significant thing for the poster design. By using the main characteristic of traditional the Zmijanje embroidery element, including a deep blue thread to embroider improvised geometrical shapes. This project may enhance the traditional practice with the possibilities of modern ways to communicate.
